Adorned with scarlet and gold plumage and an entrancing melodious cry, the phoenix is a large mythological creature that is revered for it’s long life and cyclical regeneration.
Likewise, I perceive the human condition as a continual flux and often in the cycle of regeneration and rebirth. For me, the phoenix symbolizes our resilience, persistence, duty, hope and strength. Despite the onslaught of challenges and obstacles that can bring us the the very depths of our humanity, we are compelled to rise again from our ashes and reconstruct our lives. Only through our own inner strength, the support of loved ones, and wise counsel can we continue to persist and demonstrate our resilience and willingness to rise above challenges.
